• Acknowledge the Current Situation: In a team meeting, honestly acknowledge the condition of the workplace culture. Ask the team to prepare feedback fo future meetings.

  • Clarify and Communicate Mission: Ensure a clear and comprehensible mission statement that all employees understand. Identify areas where tasks or projects deviate from this mission and gather employee input on realigning efforts.

  • Evaluate, Clarify, and Communicate Values: If your organization doesn't have stated values, consider what drives your work and outcomes as a team. What you value should filter who is a cultural fit for your team. 

  • Conduct Meaningful One-on-One Discussions: Arrange private meetings with key employees to understand their current challenges and frustrations. Consider involving an external consultant if necessary to facilitate honest conversations.

  • Evaluate Cultural Fit and Job Descriptions: Determine if you are utilizing your team members correctly.  Determine who is aligned with your values and who may be confused by the lack of clarity from your organization. Clarify the mission and values and continue conversations to get your team aligned.
  • Offer a Bonus Day Off: Provide an additional day off in the next quarter that employees can use at their convenience without deducting from their regular leave. This gesture promotes well-being and shows appreciation.

  • Review Workplace Safety Policies: Evaluate and update safety policies and procedures if they are not already clearly defined. Engage a consultant to guide discussions and recommend improvements for ongoing safety measures.

  • Publicly Acknowledge Employee Contributions: Recognize individual achievements and share impact stories during staff meetings to highlight the team's collective efforts and accomplishments.

  • Invest in Leadership Coaching: Engage a leadership coach to conduct a comprehensive assessment of strengths, areas for improvement, and potential blind spots within the organization.
